Dr. Gendelman is a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) appointed by the State of California, since 2010.

A QME is a qualified physician,  certified by the Division of Worker’s Compensation – Medical Unit to examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports. The reports are used to determine an injured worker’s eligibility for worker’s compensation benefits.

In addition to Dr. Gendelman’s comprehensive orthopaedic care provided to patients of all ages, he’s also highly skilled and experienced in the management of work-related illnesses and injuries that are covered by workers’ compensation. For many years, we have cared for patients with these unique conditions to help them achieve a safe, timely recovery and return to work. He fully understands the challenges associated with workplace injuries and is dedicated to providing top-quality care.

Dr. Gendelman focuses on early diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment techniques for cost-effective recoveries that promote a healthy recovery while reducing time lost from work. While patient health remains the top priority of any dedicated physician, we take special consideration to achieve satisfactory results for all parties involved.

For effective results and clear communication, Dr. Gendelman works in conjunction with the patient, employer and insurance carrier in order to establish appropriate work restrictions for each individual patient. This ongoing collaboration ensures that care is carried out to all medical and legal standards. To provide this valuable service to patients and employers alike, Dr. Gendelman has received specific training in worker’s compensation report writing and have several years of experience in this specialized field.
