Born in Soviet Union in 1977, Dr. Gendelman has now skillfully built a repertoire of experiences in his field. He began his academic journey at the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Biology. He went on to broaden his knowledge by earning an M.D. from the University of California at Irvine – College of Medicine. He then completed his five-year accredited residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate to prepare for becoming a future orthopaedic surgeon. Meanwhile, he also served as a team physician for Sheepshead Bay High School’s Varsity and Junior Varsity football teams.
